Who We Share Data With

We share data only with service providers required to operate the site. These act as data processors and handle your data only on our instructions:

• MailerLite — newsletter delivery. Stores your email and sends our newsletter. Based in the European Union, operating under a Data Processing Agreement compliant with UK and EU GDPR.
• Google Cloud Platform — website hosting. Stores website data including server logs.
• Cloudflare — content delivery network. Caches website assets such as audio files; may briefly process your IP address for security and performance.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.

International Data Transfers

Some service providers process data outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK GDPR, including Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision issued by the UK government.

How Long We Keep Your Data

• Newsletter subscribers: We keep your email address until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
• Web server logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and diagnostic purposes.

RHISE is written for adults. Our stories are drawn from real historical events and frequently contain themes that are not appropriate for children — including violence, crime, death, war, and other difficult subject matter. The site and newsletter are not intended for, and should not be used by, anyone under the age of 16.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a minor has subscribed to our newsletter, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete their data.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption in transit and trusted third-party providers for storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to minimise the risk of unauthorised access.
