Real History in Simple English

RHISE means Real History in Simple English. Every episode tells one true story from history, using language that learners can actually follow.

Most history is written for people who already speak English well. That leaves out everyone who is still learning. RHISE is built the other way around: real events, told in clear and simple English — so you can learn the language and the history at the same time.

My name is Mario Chen, and I created RHISE. I want to be open about how it is made. AI helps me research, write, and voice every episode — and I am not going to hide that. It is what lets one person bring you a new true story every day, at two reading levels and in three accents. But I do not let the AI run free. Every story follows a strict process: real events only, built from authoritative sources, then fact-checked, leveled for readability, and reviewed before it reaches you. The AI does the heavy lifting. I set the rules, I decide what gets published, and I am the one who stands behind it.

If you are learning English and you are tired of textbook sentences about imaginary people, this is for you. Real stories. Clear words. Nothing made up.
